A little more about what I have in mind for the Facing History seminars this fall…
I’ve never been a fan of traditional lectures. What I've missed most about teaching is the fun that happens when a roomful of interested people start talking and sharing their thoughts—the questions, opinions, stories, disagreements, unexpected tangents, and occasional opportunity to stir the pot.
That's what I'm hoping these seminars will be: a lively gathering of friends, old and new, with history providing the conversation starter. No homework. No grades. No blue books required.
